It has been a busy few weeks around our house, but I am excited to finally have some beautiful "after" pictures to share of our kitchen and breakfast room makeover!
Last week, I shared the big reveal of our freshly painted kitchen cabinets. They went from a dingy off-white to a fabulous stark white.

Our view of the kitchen as you walk into the house from the front door.
Our breakfast room (picture taken standing in the same living room doorway). That beautiful wall of windows literally makes me happy every single day.
View of the kitchen from the breakfast room.
The back of our brick living room fireplace, which extends into our breakfast room.
Our newly painted cooking station (next to the brick fireplace).
Our new cabinets (again).
Every beauty needs her close ups.
And one more shot, for good measure.
So there we have it! It's amazing what a little paint will do! David and I are suppper happy with the results. We woke up yesterday morning, walked in the kitchen for our coffee and just smiled :) It is so much more "us." What do you think?

ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous! I love the wall color, and that you painted the brick too. And, that leaded glass cabinet door is beautiful. OMG...those windows! So much natural light. Great job!!
This looks fantastic! I love the colors you chose.
ReplyDeleteSimple gorgeous, paint is the most amazing "tool" in design, I swear! The transformation is stunning, love that you painted the brick and the wall of windows is a really striking feature of the space. I see why they make you happy! ENJOY! Janell
ReplyDeleteBeautiful... I dream of one day painting our cabinets white, it just brightens the entire space.
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing what a little paint can do! I had to scroll back up to see if you changed the color of your table, it really stands out more with the new color.

ReplyDeleteNo better feeling than holding that cup of coffee and just enjoying all your hard work. It is beautiful. The color is perfect. Those windows in your breakfast area are stunning. It all flows so nicely. Congrats.

ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful Michelle!
ReplyDeleteWhat is the brand & color of paint on the walls? It's so beautiful and peaceful! Would love to use it in my dining room. - Debbie
ReplyDeleteA-Mazing!
ReplyDeleteI love love love it. Your kitchen looks a lot more open now and more crisp. It really makes other aspects of the room/area pop out a lot more [the white cabinets, granite, white molding/trim]. You did a great job!
This is one the prettiest kitchens I have ever seen!! The wall of windows in the dining room are my favorite, did you guys put those in?
ReplyDeleteBetter Homes & Gardens magazine should be knocking for a photo shoot!
Oh, I just love it!!! You did an excellent job! You guys are such a cute couple and I can't wait to explore the rest of your blog!
ReplyDeleteI love how calm and relaxing it looks. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThank you, ladies! We are thrilled with the results. And all of your sweet comments :) All the hard work (and almost a month of walking into a kitchen with drop cloths and paint buckets!) has paid off.
ReplyDeleteDebbie- the color on the walls is Behr's "Mineral." It's got a little bit of taupe in the gray, which works well with our counters. And it's the paint with primer- we didn't want to have to do 85 coats to get rid of the orangy-salmon color! It's a beautiful color.
Great job! Your paint choices are so calming.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great transformation. Do you know the color you used? I am getting ready to repaint my kitchen, and love that calming color! Nice job!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, what a difference, so much brighter!
ReplyDeleteSOO pretty! It all really looks fantastic! Amazing job:)
ReplyDeletegorgeous! Love the colors. Its really stunning

ReplyDeleteI just found you through the Girl Creative link up! LOVE your makeover!! It is so beautiful. I would love to hang out in that kitchen all day! The wall of windows is fantastic. This is such an encouragement to me- we have the same countertops and are planning on painting our cabinets white after the start of the year. Nice to get a little preview :) Signing up to follow you.
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle; I found you through MM on BNOTP! I have to say that you already had me with the first kitchen! I had to look at it again, because that warm paint color was gorgeous too. But toggling back and forth, this really helps me to see what will happen when I repaint my kitchen. Suddenly with the new colors, your floors stand out beautifully. So do the windows (which I'm so jealous of) and it's just a much cleaner backdrop to your greenery (which adds so much). This is the color scheme I'm considering going with in my kitchen and living room but am still on the fence about it. Love what you did though and am following you now, and look forward to seeing more posts.
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll take a minute to look at my blog and consider following me too :)
