Um, it's hot ya'll.
I know I grew up here in Georgia, so I shouldn't be surprised when this ridiculous heat wave hits us at about the same time every year. But Oh. Em. Gee. It's a doozy! My grandmother always tells me not to worry about it, because "girls don't sweat, we perspire!"
Even if I'm perspiring with class, nothing beats the heat like a dip in a fabulous swimming pool. Just for fun, I dug up pictures of swimming pools owned by a few celebs.
How would you like to spend your summer days at one of these?
Ryan Seacrest's pool via
dress designer Monique Lhullier's pool from Elle Decor
Demi Moore & Ashton Kutcher's home from Architectural Digest
Ellen Pompeo's home from Elle Decor
mine... um, I mean... Rob Lowe's pool from Architectural Digest
designer Cynthia Rowley's pool from Elle Decor
Cher's infinity pool from Architectural Digest
John Travolta's pool from Architectural Digest
Ralph Lauren's pool via
the pool owned by the one and only, verrrrry famous.... oh wait, that's just my pool!
Don't you wish Seacrest would invite us all over for a party or two at his beautiful pool?!
I'll bring the margarita mix!
You can also catch me today over at Michaela's blog, dishing about one of my favorite design trends of the season! Stop by and say hi : )
I love this post! I would do anything for a pool for my preggo self!
ReplyDeleteOH goodness, I need to be rich.
ReplyDeleteIt's HOT here in SC too. I wish I had a pool. I guess the beach will have to do :)
ReplyDeleteI would take the "perspiring" any time! I had my heat on today!! Soon enough though:) I hope!
ReplyDeleteHoly cow...I'd take any of these but the Architectural Digest one is seriously amazing. I love the "one of" comment about Elton John's pool. Seriously...he should share with the rest of us!
ReplyDeleteSuper super jealous, I'd happily take your (very pretty) pool any day! I always thought boys sweat and girls "glistened" ;) That's what my crazy middle school gym teacher always said, anyway. But she also made me do suicides and burpees and therefore I am highly suspicious of anything that came out of her mouth.
ReplyDeletei spent the day at my best friends pool on saturday... LOVED it. wish i had my own pool, maybe someday! xo jillian:: enter to win a $100 shopping spree!
ReplyDeleteyour pool is poolfect....yes i just said that :)
ReplyDeleteWow...I would take any and ALL of these!!
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with you girl...it's been SO hot down here!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving all those pools!
Those are all amazing. I can't even decide which one I would want! And your pool . . .gorgeous. You must be using it a lot now that 'the heat is on'.
ReplyDeleteYou're speaking my language girl! It hit 100 here this past week so I could use a little dip in any of those pools!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are enjoying you beautiful pool! So fun to check out the others, too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post! Loved seeing all the beautiful pools...what I would give to have a pool like any one of those! Can't wait to check out your post over at Michaela's blog! :)
ReplyDeleteAhhh! I'm going to be daydreaming of hanging out with Demi and Ashton all day at work today!
ReplyDeleteWe have a pool too and nothing beats them when it's in the 90's here in Pa. I just can't imagine having some of those thought, thanks for posting them.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right, Michelle-- it's ridiculously hot here in GA! Hubs and I are escaping to the lake this weekend and I can't wait. Thanks for the eye candy!
ReplyDeleteYou hang well my friend! I mean, I would swim there! ;)
ReplyDeleteum--Yes please! These are gorgeous--and it is ridiculously hot. Haha...the ocean feels like bath water. : ) Although, no complaints here....I am loving it. I love love love demi moore's pool.....and house. Ah-ma-zing.
ReplyDeleteGreat post. Would love to float around and feel weightless in a pool right about now... but have no desire to get my prego body into a swimsuit. Maybe sometime in August! ;)
ReplyDeleteIt is so very muggy here too... I would love to go for a dip in one of those fabulous pools!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post and great blog! Glad I have a pool to make it through HOT Houston summers, but unfortunately it doesn't look quite as refreshing as the ones above.
ReplyDeleteNow I have that song stuck in my head! Ha! Love those beautiful pools! It's so dang hot here in GA right! We must plan to meet up some time this summer!
ReplyDeleteJealous!!!
ReplyDeleteI've been Jonesing for a friend with a pool. The nearest is a 30 mile drive. :(
Guess it's the kiddie pool for now. Sigh.
I'm kicking Demi Moore out!! I want her house...her pool....and her man's ... paycheck!
ReplyDeletegorgeous pools...especially the last one!! serious.
ReplyDeleteI often wonder what my house would look like if money were no object. I probably wouldn't be able to make any decisions and still be wandering the aisles of hobby lobby looking for something to mod podge.
Oh wow, those are some gorgeous pools! And yours is pretty too! We don't have a pool at all so I'm jealous. ;)
ReplyDeleteI will take any one of those pools! Those are some beaut's! Lucky that you have a pool also! The closest I have to a pool is my parents, which happens to be 4 1/2 hours away :(
ReplyDeleteI'm in the wrong industry obviously! Ralph Lauren's pool is my favorite. Wowza.
ReplyDeleteI love your backyard! Your pool is fab- I'm coming over for a swim! I loved Cynthia Rowley's and Ellen Pompeo's! Great post. :)
ReplyDeleteI spent the day at our neighborhood pool (we have a homeowners association) with the kids today! I just love lounging poolside :) Your backyard is amazing! I'd be afraid I'd never get anything done if I had a pool in my backyard! I'd certainly have that "it's 5 o'clock somewhere" mentality all summer long ;)
ReplyDeleteuhm. demi moore's pool? i mean really? that's just unfair...
ReplyDeletei want.
I want Ryan's pool!!!! What a view!
ReplyDeleteyou. me. seacrest's pool. let's make it happen. :)
ReplyDeleteseriously... how much do you think that place cost? a bazillion bucks? probably!
I am jealous that you have enough space for a pool. The only pool we could fit in our backyard would be "kiddie".
