Like any good little home decor blogger, I was browsing the aisles at my local ReStore on my lunch the other day. I'm a huge reader, so I always glance through the books to see if I can find anything that interests me. And ohhhh did I. How about seven vintage Readers Digest books for $2 each? Score.
After looking over my shoulder to make sure no one was going to pounce on me and steal my loot, I snatched up all seven and ran to the check out line. $14 later (+ a fun project that I'll hopefully get to share soon!), you can bet I was a happy camper.
(sorry for the blurry iPhone pics!)
The covers are so gorgeous- filled with fun patterns and lots of color. Even the spines are pretty!
I plan to use the books in various little vignettes around the house. Books are one of the best ways to spruce up a dresser, a mantle, a tabletop, etc. They easily add height, dimension and... in my case- lots of color! I'm thinking I'll set a few here and there around the house. Perhaps a little bit of this?
Or maybe some of this?
Or if I keep my wine rack as empty as I do (obviously empty because we drink way too much wine I need to make a liquor store run!), some of the books might even end up here.
I'm thrilled with my find and can't wait to set the books up around the house.
What's your recent favorite thrift store find??
