Hello hello! I thought I'd share a fun e-design that I recently completed for an online client. Despite being a Gator fan (go Dawgs!), Nicki is one of the sweetest online clients that I've had.
Nicki has a beautiful, light-filled family room in her home that needs a little pick-me-up. A big fan of traditional, beachy, cottagey design, Nicki also loves splashes of color. I set up the room with a neutral palette and added splashes of apple green and turquoise. These colors actually pull from a stained glass window found in an adjacent room. Gotta tie it all together, right? I love the Wisteria turquoise garden stools that I used as side table around the sectional, don't you?
Besides the conventional movie watching + video game playing area, Nicki's family also needed a space in their family room that they could craft. I created a space along one wall dedicated solely to that purpose. Nicki told me that she was up for a DIY, so I researched and found a great tutorial from Young House Love (thanks John & Sherry!) about how to make a desk. I think their plans will help Nicki to create the perfect desk for her craft space.
I also created an entire layout space plan for Nicki, based upon the dimensions of her family room. I planned out both the furniture and decor for the room. Here's a sneak peek.
Nicki says that she and her family are thrilled with the design and layout plan, which is great! I can't wait to see updated pictures as the room comes together.

Oh and of course... don't forget that tomorrow is the big Christmas mantle link party right here on Ten June! Come fa la la la la your way over and link up your decked halls. I'll be going live at about 8 AM EST. Even if you don't have a mantle, link up your own version of a fantle (faux mantle, duh). The more the merrier!
