A couple of nights ago, I pulled myself out of my Pinterest black hole (you guys are right, so addicting!) and picked up the latest issue of House Beautiful magazine. Wow, this one might be one of my favorite issues yet. I loved so many of the features! And the whole issue is dedicated to makeovers... who doesn't love a good before and after?! I even tweeted the publication, giving them props for the fabulous issue.
My two favorite articles were the house tours of the renovated Craftsman bungalow and the updated East Hamptons barn. Yeah, the titles of the articles even sound fabulous, don't they? Unfortunately, House Beautiful doesn't have pictures of those articles and house tours on their website yet. Trust me, the articles are so good, I thought about snapping shots of the magazine with my iPhone just so you could see them! But they pictures looked horrible (duh), so you'll have to go pick up the February issue for yourself to see!
One article they do have on their website, though, is the fabulous cover story. And it is fabulous. North Carolina designer Lindsey Coral Harper took an outdated 1940's home and turned it into a home with a whole lot of chic style.
Incredible, right? I'm officially convinced that I need a sofa in my kitchen now.
Thanks for kicking butt this month, House Beautiful!
Ahhh...I still haven't gotten my copy in the mail yet. I'm hoping for today - fingers crossed!! But yes, the cover is beautiful. And I really feel they've been rockin it lately too. Great new features and great tours/interview. Newell Turner rocks.
