Hey mother nature... job well done.
I spent the weekend enjoying (and managing!) all of these gorgeous blooms. All I have to say is thank goodness my lack of a green thumb doesn't kill these beauties year after year. David and I worked in the yard all weekend and I remembered how little I know about gardening and yard work. Let's just say the hydrangea bush in our backyard might be a leeeetle lopsided this year... oops! The backyard hasn't bloomed yet, but those little hydrangeas and peonies will be here any day! Can't wait.
Has your yard begun to bloom yet for spring?

Looks a lot like my yard right now. I love spring. My rhodies aren't blooming yet, nor are some of the trees, but my hostas are popping up all over the place and my azelas surprised me yesterday. I just got some mulch down to protect the new flowers I transplanted/planted. Looking forward to some pretty colors soon.
ReplyDeleteLoving the spring!! Our yard is going bananas right now- every day something new pops up. Check it out: http://davenportdiy.blogspot.com/2012/04/spring-fever.html

I'm so with you! I hacked at my roses before winter and turns out I didn't kill them! Yay!
ReplyDeleteMy yard was looking AMAZING on Friday... azaleas, dogwood, lillies... and then Saturday brought a crazy thunderstorm with hail. It looks like a floral massacre in my yard. So SAD!
I love your pictures...Mother Nature is the BEST resource for decor and inspiration. I always try to bring a little bit of the outside in when I decorate a space!
ReplyDeleteAll of the trees in my yard and around my neighborhood are in full, glorious, flowery BLOOM! Perfect timing seeing as it's spring break here, AND these blooms are such a great way to lead up to Easter!! After a long, cold, unexpectedly emotionally tough winter...this is rejuvenating! :)
ReplyDeleteGood ole' mama nature! I love. I am a fan of plants that need nothing from me. I have issues in the garden! Happy Monday. Might send over an Easter project. Hmmm.
ReplyDeleteEverything is coming up early this year, love it!
ReplyDeleteYard work is not my friend either. Crazy thing is I want a veggie garden!
ReplyDeleteWe have been having the most beautiful spring I can ever remember.
