This summer, I've been finding ways to get creative when it comes to fun summertime cocktails. Since I'm busy growing our sweet little pea pod and alcohol is off the table, my regular homemade margaritas just won't do! By the way- my homemade margaritas rock. Come on over and I'll make you one. : )

With that said, I was thrilled to find this recipe for virgin sangria on Pinterest from the awesome blog A Sweet Pea Chef. It inspired me to concoct my own little virgin sangria recipe. A refreshing non-alcoholic cocktail + fresh fruit? Sign me up. I know, no alcohol = no party... but go ahead and bookmark this recipe for your next family function at grandma's (unless your grandma drinks cocktails, in which case... invite her over to my house and I'll make her a margarita!) or for a baby shower or whatnot. It will come in handy for everyone, I'm sure!
Ingredients
3 cups cranbery juice
3/4 cup grape juice
1/2 cup orange juice
2 tbsps. lemon juice
1 lemon sliced (keep the peel on!)
1/2 lime sliced (keep the peel on!)
2 oranges sliced
1 small apple sliced (keep the peel on!)
2 peaches sliced (keep the peel on!)
3 cups sparkling mineral water
3/4 cup grape juice
1/2 cup orange juice
2 tbsps. lemon juice
1 lemon sliced (keep the peel on!)
1/2 lime sliced (keep the peel on!)
2 oranges sliced
1 small apple sliced (keep the peel on!)
2 peaches sliced (keep the peel on!)
3 cups sparkling mineral water
Directions:
Combine the fruit slices and juice in a large pitcher. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours. It's best if you can keep it in the fridge overnight. Optimum yumminess. Before you serve, add mineral water and stir.
And that's it, folks. Easy peasy!

That looks so refreshing!
ReplyDeleteI bought my sister in law a book called like pregotinis or something which was so fun! But there is this pin on pinterest that shows all the ways you can dr up lemonade when i've been using when entertaining my pregnant friends!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for a baby shower (for the momma of course, I'll be taking the alcohol version..)
ReplyDeleteYum! I'll be trying this (I'm due with our first in October)! We made a batch of NA margaritas & they are sooo good. Not sure if your recipe is the same (all the ones I found seemed to be), but it was 1 can of frozen concentrate limeade, 1/4 cup of orange juice, 4 cups ice & salt to rim your glass. So good! My husband actually thought it was the real thing!
ReplyDeleteSounds DELISH! May have to check this out this weekend!! :)
ReplyDeleteYou can never have too many mocktail recipes filed away ;) BTW- when I was DYING for a margarita, I also settled for some seltzer with a teeny bit of limeade and fresh lime garnish. Heck, sometimes I would even salt the rim...
ReplyDeleteOh yum...This looks and sounds delicious!!
ReplyDeleteThis is the perfect drink for a summer party! My go-to virgin drink right now is simply Pellegrino with lime or lemon slices. It tastes just like Sprite!
ReplyDeletethat looks delicious, and healthy!! yum :D
ReplyDeleteoh this looks delicious! perfecr for my pregnant friend...she's going to love it...thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteI'm DEFINITELY going to be making this for our cookout on friend when I have to host two pregnant ladies--plus me!
ReplyDeleteAs a fellow preggo, I've been struggling to come up with yummy non-alcoholic alternatives, especially at family get-togethers and others events where most people are drinking - I got tired of cranberry and soda pretty quickly :) I will most definitely be making this this summer!
ReplyDeleteooh this sounds delightfully refreshing!
ReplyDeleteA perfect refreshing summer drink.
