You guys are going to love me for this post. For realz.
At the end of my pregnancy, I started craving anything and everything sweet. Unfortunately I was on a restricted diet because of my gestational diabetes, but of course that only made me crave sweet things (ie. food I wasn't supposed to be having!) even more. Every time I saw a commercial or ad for a milkshake or brownie or cake, I just about died. Must. Have. Sweet. Goods. Now.
But the biggest culprit here is Pinterest. Once this pregnant chick started searching sweets, there was no looking back. And when I saw a few recipes for cake batter sweets? Fahget about it. I had to make something yummy, even if I could only have one serving because of the diabetes!
After pulling ideas from a few recipes, I created my own amazing dish. And I mean, ah-maz-ing. Here's how you make it!
Ingredients:
-one box of yellow cake mix
-one teaspoon of vanilla
-1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
-1/4 cup vegetable oil
-1/4 cup milk
-one egg
-one cup rainbow sprinkles
-3/4 cup chunky white chocolate chips
Directions:
1. Mix together all ingredients, except for sprinkles and chocolate chip.
2. Add the sprinkles and chips in to your batter. I won't be mad if you add in extra of either.
3. Bake in greased pan for 35-40 minutes at 350 degrees.
I prefer the brownies to be a little bit more "done," so I baked them closer to 45 minutes.
These suckers are so good, they'll put you into labor. No, but seriously, this was the last thing I ate before going into labor! I'm telling you, these brownies will knock your socks off!
Hope this sweet little treat brightens your Friday!! Have a great weekend!
I pinned birthday cake blondies a few weeks ago but i havent made them yet!! MMM

ReplyDeleteOh yum!! These look absolutely delicious! Definitely going to have to give these a try!
ReplyDeleteThis looks good - and this post made me laugh - when I was 8 1/2 months pregnant with my first I craved milkshakes like CARAZAY! I waited in the longest drive thru line in McDonalds history to get to the order window and find out that there shake machine was broken- I'm too embarrassed to even tell you what happened after that - but let's just say I barely escaped jail ;) Do not get in the way of a pregnant lady and her food cravings! The end! Happy Weekend girlie!
ReplyDeleteTotally pinning this post, Michelle! I'll have to hide these from my teenagers. :)
