It has been a busy few weeks around our house, but I am excited to finally have some beautiful "after" pictures to share of our kitchen and breakfast room makeover.
Last week, I shared the big reveal of our freshly painted kitchen cabinets. They went from a dingy off-white to a fabulous stark white.
Here's the room before.
And here it is after.
As you can see, our second big step was to take that salmon pink/orangey color and transform it to a calming gray. The paint color is Behr's Mineral, a perfect mix of beige and gray. Which, if I might add, goes perfectly with it's new fresh white trim, which is a custom color.
Here's another before shot of the breakfast area.
And after.
I absolutely love how light and bright it is- the paint really opens up the space.
So there we have it! It's amazing what a little paint will do! David and I are suuuuuuppper happy with the results. We woke up yesterday morning, walked in the kitchen for our coffee and just smiled :) It is so much more "us." What do you think?
That looks so beautiful! I love how bright everything looks now. And I can't believe how much more your stainless fridge "pops" with the gray on the walls!
ReplyDeleteLooks great! I think it would look even better with a larger rug...
ReplyDeleteCan't believe your house didn't sell - I'd want it just for the kitchen!
ReplyDeleteI love your makeover! I have been battling with my 1950's kitchen for awhile and painted the awful wallpaper yellow, but recently thought about a pale gray so I will have to look at tat Behr color! Thanks for the kitchen inspiration!
ReplyDeleteAdore that color. It is so relaxing, especially in the mornings when you just want to take it easy and not be punched in the face by a bright orangey room :)

Looks fabulous! I absolutely LOVE that greige color! I'm going to have to try that out when I redo our bathroom!
ReplyDeletePerfect color for that space!! Huge improvement.
ReplyDeleteWhat a HUGE difference! It's amazing what a gallon or 2 of paint can do!
ReplyDeleteSo much lighter and brighter :)
ReplyDeleteSmashing! Calm, cool, collected. :-)

What did you use to paint the brick wall?
ReplyDeleteWow-sah! So much brighter and more refined. Lovely. You must be over the moon with the results =) Nice work!!
ReplyDeleteI love both colors. A litter countertop color and the orange could stay. You did Another Great Job!
ReplyDeleteDid you paint the ceiling the same color (Mineral) as the walls? Hard to tell in the pictures. I am in LOVE with the "AFTER"!!!!!!!!!! Great job!
