Back in 2010, I started this blog. David and I had just purchased our first home together in March of 2010 and had spent several months holed up in the house, renovating our little hearts out. When we finally got what felt like the fiftieth phone call from family asking "what are you guys doing??!" I decided it was time to share our house renovation progress online so that family and friends could keep up with us. I started a Blogger account in June 2010 and debuted my very first post on July 26, 2010.
So, I'm a coule of weeks behind, but this sweet little blog is officially three years old.
Incredible, right? I can promise you that when I pressed "publish" back in 2010, I definitely didn't think that I would be keeping up with this three whole years later. I didn't think that I would learn so much about my style, my design skills and my overall passion for interior design. And, above all, I certainly didn't think that I would be jumping into a crazy talented and amazingly sweet network of people that would grow from complete strangers to some of my very close friends. People that I would meet in person and booty dance with. Love it.
Yesterday, I started looking back on some of my older posts. Like this little gem of a post about our first living room makeover. I crammed about nineteen posts worth of information about paint, furniture shopping, furniture makeovers, decor, etc. into this sweet little post. I clearly didn't know what I was doing! In true Michelle form, I did break out a funny story about a creepy back woods lady I hunted down on Craiglist to buy a dresser from. If you haven't before, read the post. It's pretty entertaining!
Aaaanyways, I was looking back and saw that on that post, so many of my now great blogging friends left comments about that crazy living room rant. Three years ago, through terrible photos and wonky writing, these bloggers were supporting me. Y'all have had my back for awhile, yo!
That brings me to the point of this post... to thank you. To thank each and every one of you who drop by my little slice of the Internet every day to read about whatever crazy project or HDawg adventure or dead gopher story (that was a good one!) that I have on my mind. Seriously, where would I be without you? Answer: nowhere cool. I'd be the girl by myself at the lunch table, scowling at anyone who dare eyed my PBJ.
My time at the Haven conference really inspired me to dive back into blogging head first. I took a lot of time off from blogging when HDawg was born last August and now, almost a year later, I think it's high time I put my big girl panties on and jump back in the saddle. Wow, that's a lot of metaphors. But it's true. It's time! Time for more projects, more DIY, more design. It's my public commitment to each of you to bring. it. on. Slowly but surely, I'm going to bring myself back in the game!
So again, thank you! Thank you for reading and thank you for supporting my little passion in life. Sharing what I love with all of you makes this sort of a dream come true.

Happy Blog Anniversary Michelle! Doesn't seem like it's been 3 years. Of course, it doesn't seem right that little HDawg will soon be a toddler running all over the place.
