(clears throat)
tap. tap. tap. Anyone out there?
Hiiiii friends! I am alive and well over here at Ten June. I'll tell you what, I wasn't exactly planning to take such a long blogging break, but it just kind of happened. Believe it or not, it's been over a month.
So what have I been up to the past month? We moved again! We had another baby! It was a boy! No, it was a girl! Ha, only kidding, none of that. Thankfully, it's been a pretty quiet (well, relatively, at least in our life!) past month. Lots of quality time porch sitting and playing with the kids. I am loving my new job. David and I are counting our lucky stars that I found my perfect job doing the work I love (practicing commercial real estate law... yes, I'm a big nerd and love that work) with a flexible schedule. Little Lady June has seamlessly adjusted to life at school and she and HDawg seem to look forward to going four or so days a week.
My kiddos are growing like little weeds... H will be two next month (whaaat?!) and June bug is four months going on sixteen. HDawg loves lawn mowers, singing (current fav- "Baa Baa Black Sheep" which merges directly into "ABC," which is actually really smart because I myself never realized they are more or less the same tune....) and eating any.thing and every.thing (well, eating everything minus dairy, since his allergy to all cow's milk was just upped to "severe" and he now has an EpiPen, poor guy). LLJ loves rolling from back to tummy, women's voices (she literally belly laughs when any lady oohs and goohs at her), stuffed animals and being chunky in her six month sized clothes already.
We had an absolutely amazing Fourth of July weekend, complete with cookouts, parades and lots of fun with friends and family. Life, especially holidays, is so amazing through the eyes of kids, that's for sure.
Here's the million dollar question: am I back to blogging? I'm not sure! To tell you the truth, I have really needed this time off, whether I knew it or not, and it feels good to have one less thing on my plate right now. I haven't exactly been inspired to crank out any great projects lately unless margarita making or the beautiful collage of dinosaur stickers HDawg and I created yesterday counts as a DIY.
But I'm kind of hoping inspiration strikes this weekend while I'm at the Haven Conference here in Atlanta. Hopefully I won't get kicked out for being a bad blogger (heyyy, you're that girl who used to blog, what are you doing here?!) and hopefully I'll get a swift kick in the blogging butt. But more importantly, I get to have some quality time with some of my favorite blogging gals. I cannot wait to see you guys! Who will be there?!
So that's the current state of events over here. I hope you guys are doing well, I've missed you!
